About Me: Call me Ptera. As in pteradactyl. It's shorter.
These things always make people look pompus, almost no matter what is said. They irk me, but I guess there's nothing to do about that.
I could give you the typical A/S/L thing that is the first thing most random AIM people ask, and that always gets them blocked when the pm me....but you can see that for yourself.
I think I was born several hundred years too late.

Body Alterations: Six holes in my left ear and two in my right, and one in my right nostril, as well as a surface piercing in my chest. A triskelle tattoo on my left heel that has martial arts significance, and two head tattoos that don't match. I'm in the process of trying to get those fixed. |

Future plans: Stealing away with Eyanosa to some new location. (check!)
One more year of teaching high school. (check!)
Massage school/license. (check!)
Looks like I need to make some new plans....
Dying my hair purple again.
Trying to find a living history job. |

Stuff that makes me smile: Eyanosa. Shiny stuff. Boobs. Doesn't matter if they're on guys or girls. The smell of leather.
Celtic stuff. Nag Champa. Exotic hair. Cats.
Gaiaonline. Grammar. WoW. More stuff will appear, as I think of it. |
 |
I hate...: Dumb drivers. Willful ignorance.
Horrible grammar/chatspeak. Backstabers. Too many quotes in forums. When your really have to pee...and you sneeze. People who don't knock on the bathroom door before coming in. |

I got an email from my mom a day or so ago saying that due to her cats thinking the neighbor's flowerbed was the litter box, she's going to have to get rid of them. She has three...one we've had since I was in high school (what it it with my family and ~10 year old cats?), and two kittens. My uncle is taking the kittens, and would either my dad or I take the older one, Jess.
I called today, saying that Eyanosa had vetoed it, even if she would pay the pet deposit. He had a rough time with Sylvester being here....as Sylvester wasn't exactly happy, and was pretty vocal about it...constantly. She said that actually, she wasn't going to make me take two cats. I was confused. She said she just got word through the grapevine that my dad has resigned his tenured spot at the University, and is looking for someone to take Sylvester again. Uh oh.
So I called to verify. "So...will you be taking Jess?"
"Actually...we need to talk about that...."
Long story short...he quit his job and is going back for another year. *bursts in to tears*
I know the money is good...he told me before this ever started that if he spent two years over there and invested well, he'd never have to work another day in his life. But he loves that university, and he's loved that town, and is any amount of money really worth not being able to see your loved ones, or talk to them, for another year? Not to mention how worried I'll be again.
