I'm still so heartbroken over missing this trip. All I want to do is lay in bed sleep and sulk all day. I haven't been this depressed in so long.

Spoke with the homeoffice, no way to speed it up or any other options so I have my fingers crossed but realistically there is no hope.

I miss my friends. I don't want to wait another year to see them. I'm so damn lonely over here I needed this visit.

The big problem is that without the passport you can't enter any other country, and as for the European route, UK isn;t part of the Schlagen agreement that allows passportless travel around Europe - welcome to Fortress Blighty. You can't get in, you can;t get out...

Given the immigration hotbed at the moment I don't think we'll ever full implement and only support the Schengen Agreement, besides surely thats only for EU nationals only? 
It's obviously different travelling over mainland Europe, but flying into most Schengen signed up countries, including Iceland, they funnel you through channels of either EU nationals or UK and abroad etc and check some form of ID or other regardless.  I saw that Americans can now get passport cards for travel amongst the States, Canada and the Bahamas, but not for use on International travel, which I thought was a pretty pointless invention.
