I'm still so heartbroken over missing this trip. All I want to do is lay in bed sleep and sulk all day. I haven't been this depressed in so long.

Spoke with the homeoffice, no way to speed it up or any other options so I have my fingers crossed but realistically there is no hope.

I miss my friends. I don't want to wait another year to see them. I'm so damn lonely over here I needed this visit.

yes ma'am. They won't give it back till the papers are sorted. but 14 weeks takes me up to the beginning of December.

If you have your flight booked and everything... just go with a waver, you can only stay up to 3 months, but at least you wont miss your flight and youll visit your friends!

You're british, right? You can go without a visa....

Believe it or not it also frustrates me to hear you, because i also had tons of stresses everytime i went to the states... it shouldnt be like this, its really annoying, i dont understand why things cant be more simple...

I'm not British... I'm Canadian. Thats why I'm having such a problem. I'm trying to get my spousal visa to stay here but they keep my passport. And I can't get on a plane without it.

I don't know what a waver is.... can you explain?

visa waiver scheme, EU subjects don't need visas entering the USA

oohh i thought you were british, that's why i mentioned the waiver thing, which means you go without a visa, just the passport and at the american border they stamp your passport with a 3 month permit.

They kept your passport in england while you do the paperwork and you cant get it back for a while?

I think the waiver is for europeans only, im not totally sure. Anyways you need the passport to travel by airplane i guess... This is revolting...

what are the requirements for canadians to enter the US?
