| Tattoo Jam .. |
 |
Hello Zom(ba)bies,
So what have I been up to?
Last weekend I spent my time in the quaint little seaside town of Llandudno, Wales with some of the other UK Models I know. We were all there for the Tattoo Jam in association with Skin Deep Magazine, and each one of us was ready to run riot in the place. Oh yes, a weekend of much debauchery was planned!
I had been looking forward to finally meeting some of the other ladies, and it was an absolute joy to be able to get to know them better in person. I had the good fortune of becoming acquainted with XdianaX, Hope, Sakura, SJ, and Tassy <3
A massive Thank You goes out to the lovely Tassy for organising the whole weekend.
Unfortunately for Savage and I, our usual 'house help' let us down rather last minute, and with October being so young she is an extremely demanding little lady. So me, Savage, October, and Squidge (our dog) all piled into the car for the trip. I wasn't able to spend as much time as I would have liked with the other girls, due to having to do the Mummy thing, but much fun was had and many photos were taken none the less!
We stayed in a gorgeous hotel right on the peak of a huge hill, and our room overlooked the entire town. It was such a beautiful view, but because our Staffordshire Bull Terrier is ever so slightly stupid, we couldn't open the bay windows for fear of him jumping out of them. I still couldn't resist taking some pictures..

.. and the view from the smaller, second window..

There was a kind of creepy Dude who I bumped into on the first night, and for the duration of the weekend he kept coming over to talk to me. Apparently his business were unveiling a new tattoo gun that would change tattooing forever, I didn't really buy into it, but I humoured him anyway. He was quite a character.
I also crossed paths with a German man who was rather sweet - but I cannot remember his name, and he seemed quite taken with the work that we do. He took some flyers away with him and visited the stall a few times. He was pretty interesting and really laid back. I should have passed on my email address or something.
We were asked to model for the Fashion Show, and although the majority of the outfits were less than desirable (at least for our tastes), the option to model some jaw droppingly gorgeous corsets did arise.
I decided to hang back and take some pictures for the Fashion Show, and when it ended I found myself suddenly cornered by some press from the BBC. I did something of a mini interview with them, if anyone catches it on Television - Please let me know, Savage and I got rid of our box when October was born!
The weekend was a nice opportunity for networking really, I made good contacts with Tattoo Savage Magazine - so watch this space!
The layout of the venue was a little awkward, it seemed like a rather strange choice to host the Tattoo Jam. The building was very long and the Convention was split between several floors, downstairs was a huge hall with the majority of tattooists and some stalls, the separate stage room, and cafes. On the upstairs levels there were other artists and booths all split into different rooms. I think that the majority of people didn't actually look around the entire place, which was a bit of a shame.
The town itself was fun, and the English weather decided to play the Summer game for a few days which made it seem all the more enchanting. I don't quite think that the local towns people knew what hit them when a massive influx of heavily tattooed types entered the sleepy little location.
It was a total delight to see so many amazing Tattoo Artists in one place though, I adored walking around and viewing some specialist works by the talents that were there.
A few of us got tattooed over the weekend, but Diana got tattooed one night in her hotel room - Rock n Roll Baby!
Some Picture Goodness: XdianaX and Sakura ..

(Never try to rock and look after a Baby, you end up looking as shattered as me ..)

Fun Times: Hope, Tassy, and SJ <3 ..

The London Tattoo Convention is coming up fast, I'm planning on going for the whole weekend. Many of the other girls I know are planning to attend this year as well, so I'm mighty excited at the thought of catching up with the Beautiful ladies who I've already met, and meeting some new friends too.
I may even be getting inked there this year. Hells Yeah!
