yes. they have nothing better to do. Or they are elitist pricks. Spelling isnt a big deal in internet etiquette anyways, unless you're a serious blogger or something. I get a little ticked when i see some things like there/they're, your/you're, etc but i generally keep quiet

I'm not that great at spelling. Sometimes I go all grammar nazi on people like Raeli said with the there/their/they're, you're/your, its/it's, and to/too but usually only when I've had a really bad day and need to take it out on someone that had nothing to with anything and completely doesn't deserve it....

It's the only way they can feel superior to someone else.  lame.

It irritates me when I see poor grammar on a constant basis or strings of sentences with fragmented words (that make it difficult to read), etc (from the same person). But I don't correct them. I always think that maybe they're in a hurry, dyslexic (like me), or English is not their first language. As for the people who DO correct others.... it may just be one of their "anal qualities" or compulsions; others it's because they are bored or wish to feel superior, as others have already said above.

i think everybody is fed up with sleazy guys sending messages/comments like, "heyyyy bayb, u so fyne!" type of crap.
hahaha, i see a lot of alt models' myspaces that bash poor spelling and grammar.
