I was a bit upset about it as well.
However, I have been thinking about it a bit and have since found a sort of peace with it...along with an explanation I really like about it. I'll go more in depth about my perception of the ending I like a bit later...

I think they did a masterful job of making you feel as stressed as Tony feels every time a door opens. In the end, no matter what the result, he's basically fucked.

It appears there may have been more to the ending than meets the eye.
This guy has an interesting theory and I think he's on to something.
He's wrong about the guy being in the credits as a leotardo.
But I always thought that showing Meadow trying to park and failing over and over was kind of a waste of film.
Maybe he went out 'David Lynchesque'?
I told you ... Tony's gotta die!
