Since I couldn't get press passes to the Fetish Ball, I will be spending my Friday evening at the Irish Film Festival on Friday, attending their evening of Magner's and Shorts. I hope others will be able to make it out.

Short films from Ireland and free Magner's Irish Cider, what more could you want in an evening?

Awww - an Irish film fest... yay!

Magners cider is called Bulmers over here.... what gives?

How odd. Yeah, I'm curious to know why they'd change the name.

Film fest was great. My favorite was a short called Bongo Bong by Ken Wardrop. I can't find it online, but here is another great short by him called 'Useless Dog'

When are you coming back to the Bay Area?

Do any of you Bay Area Deviants frequent Bondage-a-go-go, Death Guild, Die Maschinen or DNA Lounge?

Yes! Although not as much as I used to thanks to my last semester in school. Lets start a thread in the DN San Francisco Group!

Is there an official SF event in October? I'd like to come and see if I can bring some DN models with me.

Cross posted in the DN San Francisco Group.

If you all remember (or maybe not), earlier in the year I shot some Day of the Dead themed photos for a group of performers called 'The Sugarplum Elves'. Well, this Saturday, the 18th, is the release party for the calendar.

The event will be at the Space Gallery. It's hard to read on the flyer, but participants are are encouraged to dress up in costumes representing their favorite holiday. Special prizes will be awarded by the Elves to those that do.

If you have any questions, let me know.

Is this calendar ALL your photography? You should bring some of these to the DN event. If it's not too expensive, I might buy one from you to take home!

No, not just mine. I only shot the November image. They used 12 different photographers. It was their first Calendar and they know a bunch of photographers. I was one of the few that they didn't know personally when I was recommended to them to shoot for them when their original photographer flaked on them. Though not directly said, but it was strongly implied that that situation ended up being for the better.
