So, I know we have a spot for our favorite books etc in our profile, but It hought maybe we could start a little thread about the books/authors/genres that we like.
Im really getting into the HDF arena right now, I really enjoy reading material by Poppy Z. Brite (we named our puppy after her), Kathe Koja, and Caitlin R. Kiernan.
Im currently reading both Interview with a vampire (Ive never read the vampire chronicles), and "Murder of Angels" by Caitlin R Kiernan.
Depending on my mood dependson what I pick up. I have tried twice and failed to completely read "House of Leaves", but one of these days I will complete it.
I know we have several writers on the site, so what do you like to read, who is on your current read list, what genre do you write in?

It's so interesting, but it can make for a hard read.
"A Million Little Pieces" by James Frey is a great book. I read it the summer before last, when it first came out, and I couldn't put it down. He just recently gained recognition for that book, and now it's the hot new read. He just had his second book "My Friend Leonard" published... I have seen it at the book stores, but I haven't read it yet. |

i have a few favorites, but i'll read just about anything besides romance and sci fi..
my favorite reading material is horror and true crime..
does anyone ever get a reaction from people when they find out you actually read? it's like half the population doesn't read anymore. someone will see me with a book (a big one without pictures) and are like.. whoa.. you read?
it amazes me.
keep rockin the books!

Oh, it's a comic book company and I get everything they publish, so there's no need for robbing. I have to read a bunch of the stuff as possible for reference. Plus I enjoy it most of the time. |
